You all may know I have a second job that I get about 20 hours a month filling in and consulting for a traffic data collection company. This job though easy is at times extremely dangerous. You find yourself facing high speed traffic with nothing but a cone. To get to the point I worked last night into early this morning laying road tubes on some state routes with bridges spanning the Hudson here in Albany and Troy, NY. Everything was going great through our first two bridges relatively uneventful though an old guy about 80 almost mowed me down. We begin our third bridge and eastbound side goes smoothly. Then we enter the darkness of the westbound. Suffice it to say they are hallin ass and have no regard for 2 trucks with numerous amber lights. Cones with flashing lights and reflective materials on them and a guy (Me) shining a flashlight at motorist dressed in reflective yellow apparel in the middle of the road. So to get to my point. This guy stops after having to lock his brakes because he somehow managed to not see 2 trucks with amber lights cones flashing and 3 guys with headlamps that shoot light 1/4mile. Proceeds to ask me what the speed limit is which is 65. I say 65 and he comments that he was only going 60 and was totally legal in doing so because we hadn't posted a limit. But state law does not require us to do so when collecting data. So my point is that are we so stupid that we lose all common sense because there isn't a sign. WTF has happened to us as individuals that we would risk taking a life or 2 to not slow down for 150ft. This gentlemen was extremely fortunate that I was uniformed for if I had not been I would be in Jail now. Our ignorance and lack of respect for the other person enrages me to no end.
So I guess my point is''''''''''''''''''' is the need to get from point A to B so important that we would disregard all warnings of work crews maintaining the roadways and threaten their lives by relying on a sign. Here's your sign you stupid fuck and beware there may be a 220 plus guy holding a 50 ounce hammer that just may lose respect for your inability to respect and heed the yellow lights.
My wife and I work for the same printing company. Our boss comes up to me last Friday and says "it's washed waxed and full of gas and its yours for the weekend"........So here is my wife in her dream car in all her glory.
Though you may question why adult men play what seems to be a children's game we have taken it to another level. We keep stats every year and compete like we are 17. I would dare any major league player to try to hit my curve or my heat for that matter. Here are our pitching stats from las season.

So my son is in a weekend basketball tourney that is supposed to be for frosh through JV teams. The first team they play is full of Varsity ball players that can't compete at the Varsity level and get away with entering the JV tourney. absolutely demolished my sons team who sent players up to help varsity be more competitive. This coach should be ashamed of himself to bring varsity ball players to a frosh tourney. Worst part they are now spent for Saturdays game. My son played 25 minutes of a 30 minute game and is spent. Now the JV coach could have held back the others and actually gave this team a run for their money................It was one of the most disgusting display of sportsmanship I have ever seen.
